More ginger men are having sex more often, and according to a new study it's known as 'The Ed Effect'
The poll, commissioned Casumo, had a sample size of just 175 men - which is not a lot. These are the numbers you'll usually see in the small print on shampoo adverts when they say '90 per cent of people with hair say it was bouncier and more manageable'.This length of fingers tells a lot about you
The 175 were male red-heads between the ages of 25-34 and the poll found that 20 per cent of them had received 'more attention' since Ed Sheeran went big.
It also found that red headed males were feeling more confident as a result of Sheeran's cultural dominance.
The study also asked 1,000 women about their views on ginger men.‘The Butcher’: Man behind war crime
More than a third of women agreed that they have more positive perceptions of red haired men due to Sheeran, and one in twenty females surveyed prefer red over other hair colours.
They then ranked 10 favourite red heads. The results put Sheeran in 4th place, behind Prince Harry, Ewan McGregor, and Damien Lewis.

It's unsurprising that red-heads are attracting more attention now than in previous years.
Donning fiery red locks are popular among both male and female celebs with stars like Emma Stone and Isla Fisher leading the way for red-headed women.

In 2015, Sheeran claimed responsibility for getting more red heads laid.
According to The Daily Telegraph, Sheeran told a US radio station:Cat tattooed to look ‘glam’ like owner
There are a lot of ginger dudes in England who are using me...That's why I'm not hating on it. You know what, we're finally getting laid! This is a good thing.
